“The Don’t Give a Dames” celebrates six female daredevils from history. From “Queen Bess” to the “Daring Heroine of the Falls,” these women ignored social constructs and defied conventions to pursue feats that many believed were impossible. These underestimated women made headlines in a world made for men. Each story of bravery is accompanied by a collage of archival imagery and found typography from books, advertisements, and newspapers.
