Outside of common design practice and common design media, where typical projects are conventionally print-based or screen-based and initiated by clients or other entities, Dress Type stems from our own interests in personal identity and design identity, as well as from notions of whimsy, popular culture, and typography. Type is utilized to form the main structure or feature in clothing items—items of color and style, which comprise aspects of an exterior face, or outward identity. The color palette is cyan, magenta, yellow, and black—the colors of ink used in printing presses and other forms of print production.
